It’s the superb ingredients that makes Eric’s Fish and Chips so amazingly tasty.

Our aim has always been to serve you the best fish and chips you have ever tasted. We develop the hand-made recipes, source and test the finest ingredients and refine the preparation, cooking process and cooking times, all essential to create the nostalgic taste and ‘wow’ factor we all enjoy from our fish and chips.

If traditional methods weren’t good enough, we had to challenge convention, put a twist on the classics, step beyond the ‘mere ordinary’ to create ‘extraordinary’. By developing traditional frying methods; sourcing the finest ingredients; and helping our kitchen team with technology and technique, we achieve the difference.

OUR DEDICATION TO PERFECTION

It’s the superb ingredients that makes Eric’s Fish and Chips so superbly different.

We take the freshest fish, coat it in a hand-crafted beer batter and fry at a carefully monitored temperature to achieve firm, flaky white flesh at the peak of condition steaming in a crisp golden cage.  Our chips are cut from local potatoes and fried in traditional beef dripping to achieve the best flavour – soft on the inside with crispy edges, ready to be dowsed in malt vinegar and salt.

As well as our traditional fish and chips we also serve a selection of fried seafood including our plump scampi and calamari rings, fishcakes and chicken wings.

We have many other tasty options to choose from and cater for all dietary requirements, including frying in rapeseed oil, gluten free flour and can grill most fish. For vegetarians we have our tasty hand-rolled Arancini Balls, made with halloumi, spinach and risotto rice

OUR FANTASTIC LOCAL SUPPLIERS

We source locally for freshness and flavour.

Our potatoes are chipped fresh in store and are sourced from local suppliers mostly in Cambridgeshire, renowned for their great flavour. Using local ale from Suffolk in our beer batter, to frying in beef dripping, our traditional cod or haddock and chips are the most popular options.

All our fish and seafood is locally sourced from MSC Certified suppliers.

We make a lot of our menu items, using local produce, including our homemade sauces of Spicy BBQ, Buffalo Sauce, Squid Ink Mayo, Tartar Sauce and Salad Cream. These sauces have proven extremely popular and are now sold in local deli’s, in store and online.
